expathjobs.com is an independent, free resource built to help Sri Lankan job seekers verify whether a foreign employment recruitment agency is legitimately licensed by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) — before they pay any money, sign any contract, or hand over their passport.

Where the data comes from

The agency directory on this site is synced from SLBFE's public registers of licensed, suspended, and cancelled recruitment agencies. Our copy of this data was last synced on October 4, 2026, and currently reflects 956 licensed, 94 awaiting renewal, 109 suspended, and 1,952 cancelled agency records.

Because this is a periodic sync rather than a live connection, there may be a short delay before very recent license changes appear here. For time-sensitive decisions — especially large payments — cross-check directly with SLBFE.

How we keep it current

• We read SLBFE's list of valid and pending-renewal agencies, and its list of suspended and cancelled agencies, every few hours.
• Every result shows two dates: the “as at” date SLBFE prints on its own list, and when we last checked it. If we can't reach SLBFE for more than two days, every page says so.
• A read is only accepted if the number of agencies we found matches the count SLBFE prints on the page, and if nothing changed implausibly much since the last read. Otherwise we keep showing the last good copy.
• The status shown is SLBFE's, never our opinion. “Renewal pending” means SLBFE lists the agency but its licence date has passed. “No longer listed” means a licence we saw before is no longer on any SLBFE list.
• We record every status change, renewal, new licence, and removal, and show that history on each agency's page.
